Worship at Pilgrim Church
Sunday Morning Worship is at the core of our faith journey.
We worship God with joy-filled music, interactive sermons, moments of silence, and times of shared and individual prayer. We gather together each week to find solace, to be provoked, to find inspiration, to be transformed, to connect with each other and God. Each time we gather together, we share the “Passing of the Peace”, a time where the peace of Christ is offered to each other through handshakes, hugs or fistbumps. We go out from our worship services to serve others and share God’s love and compassion with all whom we meet. We go forth from worship to work so that all know God’s justice and mercy.
Music is at the heart of our worship service. You will hear contemporary Christian and secular music, flute and saxophone, African hand drums and Celtic bodhrán, traditional hymns and praise songs, classical and jazz compositions at various times throughout the church year.
If you would like to offer your musical gifts to Pilgrim Church, please know that all are welcome!
Our choir is made up of a wonderful group of volunteer singers who thoroughly enjoy leading worship through music. The choir offers an anthem each week and leads the congregation in the hymns, songs and sung responses we offer throughout the service. If you enjoy singing with a group please contact our Choir Director, Jennifer Goodwin at [email protected] or our Church Musician, Lynne Wilby at [email protected]
Our Adult Choir rehearses each week on Thursday evening beginning at 7PM. The Tone Chime Choir rehearses at 7:45pm throughout the year on Thursday evening. Our band, Reverence, rehearses at 8:30pm every Thursday.
